Where it all started...
Gia Michaels turned her dream into reality, designed her life to resemble her dreams, and turned her hobby into a business, her passion into a career. She has transformed her aspirations into achievement and loves to inspire woman all around the world to do the same. “I get breath taken away when I hear of women who have had such achievements and I love to celebrate them!” Gia explains. “I do love to encourage woman to dig deep and begin to live their lives enjoying every minute of every day focusing on their passion and committing to it, the reward is so enormous, I actually go to work every day and completely love being there.” Here is how it all happened…
In late 2001...
...Gia Michaels wed and said goodbye to her days of a business woman on the go and opened the door to her new home and felt blessed to be able to start a family and be a stay at home wife and mother. In the next 2 years she had 2 adorable children and her life could not be more complete. She then found herself fidgety. “I guess I was so used to the hussle of the working world, a career, I needed something more, but I knew it had to be something I really enjoyed doing.”
Gia began to play with chocolate...
...and candy in her kitchen and realized that she was onto something, that something was she was having a blast! “I remember giggling to myself because I knew I found my next career, I wanted to make candy and create amazing packaging.” The thought of opening a retail store and selling her candies on Main Street in her neighborhood never entered her mind. Michael's determination from the start was to have her candy in every retail store on Main Streets across the country. Michaels had big ideas. “My passion was contacting buyers big and small and getting my products in their stores.”
3 years later...
...Gia Michaels CEO and Founder of Gia Michael’s Confections, Inc. manufactures her line of gourmet confections to hundreds of retailers across the country. Her list of clients include: Bloomingdales® , Nordstrom® , Home Goods® , Hallmark® , Bed Bath & Beyond® , Food Emporium® ,Costco® , FAO Schwarz® , Amazon.com® , Dylan’s Candy Bar®, Donald Trump’s Hotels and Casino’s, Marshall’s®, TJ Maxx®, The Vermont Teddy Bear Company and is sold internationally in Dubai..

“I love what I do so I am able to combine pure passion, dedication, unexplainable determination, commitment and the hardest work imaginable.” Besides running a fast and growing company Gia is a hands on mother, on the soccer field by 3 with her son and dancing school with her daughter. When recently asked how she juggles it all she responds with “I only focus on what is important in my life and I give it my all – every day I bring my children to school, develop ways for my business to grow, and then home in time the last school bell rings, proving to myself that despite what most people say, you can have your candy and eat it too!”
